Le Bal des Débutantes is one of the world’s most exclusive events, signifying the grand entrance of the daughters of celebrities and the elites into adulthood. The debutantes that attend are known to dazzle in stunning haute couture gowns and jewels honoring their culture and personal style.
Although known for its glamor and exclusivity, the event also serves a deeper purpose. Le Bal raises funds for important charitable causes. Founded by Ophelie Renouard, a French socialite and event organiser, in 1992, le Bal des Débutantes has become a celebration of coming of age, extravagance, and generosity.
This year’s earnings from the event support the Association of Cardiology Research from Fetus to Adult (ARCFA) and the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. These charities fund pioneering medical research and care for children with congenital heart defects.
Every year debutantes consist of descendants of celebrities, socialites, industry titans, and royalty. This year was no different, with debutantes including Apple Martin, daughter of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in Valentino and even HRH Princess Eugenia de Bourbon for the French in Carolina Herrera.
Guests at the event also consist of those at the top of the global elite. They gather, converse, dance, and celebrate these debutantes in the highest of fashions.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Le Bal, with 30 years of charity, celebration, and iconic parties that have become both a landmark and tradition in modern popular culture.
