On Feb. 1, Mount Pisgah hosted its first Sadies Dance for all upper school students.
There was music, food and a lot of fun. At the event, students enjoyed the company of classmates and fellow teachers.
Thanks to the dance committee, they were able to create an event for all lower and upperclassmen. The committee took their time deciding on the theme, decorations, food and even music to bring this event to life.
“I enjoyed giving my advice and opinions on where the decorations should go and show my friends my hard work and dedication,” said Faith Jennerich.
Students loved the songs playing in the background during the event. The songs were all picked by students through a Google Form.
Freshman Bailey Waller was really grateful to have the privilege of choosing her favorite songs.
“I feel like it was better that we got to pick the music that everybody likes, which helped everyone feel more involved and have more fun since they actually knew the music,” Waller said.
They also added something new to our dance this year as an alternative entry fee for the dance. Students could turn in paper towels or toilet paper in order to support Camp Lighthouse, a camp that provides an experience for children in need.
Students at Mount Pisgah loved this exciting night together, making so many memories with classmates and teachers .
“It was fun to see the Winter Wonderland come to life,” Jennerich said.
Because of the success of the event, students are hopeful that there will be a similar dance next year.
