Each year during graduation, Mount Pisgah takes the time to recognize the seniors who have attended the school since kindergarten.
This year, we have the privilege to celebrate 14 seniors who have been with Pisgah for the past 13 years. The following seniors are Caroline Boardman, Jack Garver, Kate Garver, Hunter Grube, Cooper McKinnon, Megan McKinnon, Natania Nasieku, Sarah Beth Raley, Dixie Robb, Andres Russell, Avery Shultz, Caede Talley, Dean Weintraub and Maddy Williams.
The seniors will receive a crystal plaque at graduation to congratulate them for their developmental years with Mount Pisgah.
Mount Pisgah senior and alpha to omega, Sarah Beth Raley, shares some of her favorite memories from her time at Pisgah.
“Some of my favorite Mount Pisgah memories are Field Day, dancing to Pop See Ko brain break videos and going to SharpTop Cove for the first time in middle school. Field Day was always full of energy and fun; those silly brain breaks made the day go by faster. Going to SharpTop Cove for the first time with my friends was so fun,” said Raley.
Oftentimes, students who have attended Mount Pisgah since kindergarten have been here longer than that. Mount Pisgah Alpha to Omega, Avery Shultz shares a memory from earlier than kindergarten.
“My earliest memory is Mrs. Jean’s 3-year-old classroom. My friend Madeline and I used to play with dolls and play on the playground. She left [Mount Pisgah] before kindergarten. Funny now, after all these years, we will be attending the same college,” said Shultz.
Grade school is a very influential part of your life, where you’re figuring out who you want to be and who you want to surround yourself with.
Raley shares how Mount Pisgah has shaped her into the person she is today.
“Being a part of Mount Pisgah since kindergarten is such a blessing. Each moment has shaped who I am and reminded me how lucky I am to be part of a community that feels like family. Mount Pisgah’s education has made me feel confident about my next chapter in life. Additionally, Mount Pisgah, being grounded in Christian faith, has encouraged me to grow in my faith and continue to do so in college,” said Raley.
