Ever thought about exploring passions? Trying something new? Meeting new people? Mount Pisgah’s club fair on Sept. 30 is the perfect place to do so.
The Upper School offers a wide range of extracurriculars, led by passionate students that strive to make an impact in the community through their activities.
Students will have the opportunity to hear from established clubs and new clubs making their grand debut this year.
“I am very excited for the Club Fair, I can’t wait to introduce more people to this wonderful organization that, at Mount Pisgah, aims to learn, practice, and exemplify humanitarian values through mission-related service projects,” said senior Nancy Xue, Red Cross Club President.
The Red Cross Club offers amazing volunteer opportunities for its members, ranging from making military bracelets for the “Soldiers’ Angels” to an annual in-school Blood Drive.
Students meet once a month and plan the activities and service opportunities they will be participating in. For this school year, Xue has been planning what meetings will look like.
“I’m excited to introduce disaster relief movie sessions during lunch, where members will watch movies aligned with the Red Cross mission and engage in meaningful discussions afterward.”
Those interested in pursuing a career in medicine or healthcare are in luck this year, because the Club Fair will be debuting the new HOSA club at MPCS.
“I’m thrilled to participate in the Club Fair and even more excited to build a community of future healthcare professionals at our school by exploring a wide range of careers in the medical field through research, live speakers, and observation,” said Grace Stearns, a founding member of HOSA.
The Theology Club, a popular club established last year, is looking to add new members to its roster. The club consists of monthly meetings in which students dive into scripture and explain the life of Jesus and his teachings.
“In each meeting, we will have a topic that we talk about, this could be about forgiveness, love, or peace,” said Theology Club member Emily Shelton. “We love to see what people are interested in and what they want to learn about.”
While these are only a fraction of the organizations that will be featured in the 2025 Club Fair, if you want to get involved, please be sure to stop by on Sept. 30 and explore the community, service and connections each and every club can provide Mount Pisgah Students with.
