Every coffee lover has an opinion on whether Starbucks or Dunkin’ is better. 

Some believe that Starbucks has better ingredients in their drinks making it more flavorful. 

“Starbucks is better overall due to both the quality of the ingredients used and the actual flavor produced by those ingredients. Dunkin’ Donuts is initially very good but one realizes that it uses so much sugar in its drinks to the point where the drinks start to get old,”said Parker Durrance. “At Starbucks, however, they use less of the syrup in their lattes. Therefore, it produces an overall better flavor than it does at Dunkin’.”

Some people also view Starbucks as the better coffee shop because they have pastries and sandwiches for all customers’ enjoyment. They use good, quality ingredients and also have a huge variety of items, unlike Dunkin which has just a few.

“At Starbucks the quality of the food is simply more creative. They have things ranging from ham and swiss to egg bites and egg sandwiches to any number of things, however at Dunkin’ their food products are good but they are far more greasy and therefore do not sit as well with the stomach after eating,” Durrance said.

While many like Starbucks, some people prefer Dunkin’. One reason why people like Dunkin’ more than Starbcuks is because they have a better tasting coffee than Starbucks. 

“Starbucks coffee is too strong and always hurts my stomach after I drink it and it has a bitter taste to it as well,” said Debbie Ippolito.

Another point for Dunkin’ is that they have lower prices and are budget friendly for customers, especially for those who drink coffee almost every morning.

“I like how Dunkin’ has more reasonable prices so I don’t feel broke after buying a $7 coffee like I would at Starbucks,” said Faith Jennerich.

Whether you like Starbucks or Dunkin’ better, there are options at each store for all types of coffee lovers.
