As we approach Mount Pisgah’s 2026 prom, held at Atlanta National Country club, we have to recognize the work our teachers and peers have put into making the perfect night. Through lunch meetings and thoughtful discussions, our prom committee has put together a night that gives the juniors and seniors a chance to have fun before exams and graduation.
“This year’s prom committee has been great,” said Diane Nardella, one of the prom committee’s sponsors. “They came in with so many ideas and were eager to really make it a great event. It is always so helpful when they come in with some ideas already, especially for theme, colors and decorations.”
The prom committee is made up of teachers and students. Nardella, Kelsey Piefke and several juniors have all been working behind the scenes in order to set up for prom. From picking the venue, theme and menus to making decorations and ordering flowers, each one of these people have been working tirelessly to make prom perfect.
“We are so thankful to have Ms. Weller help us with the centerpieces,” said Nardella. “When we told her what we wanted them to look like, in terms of type of flowers and colors, she did an amazing sample one over spring break that the prom committee loved.”
While the teachers would be able to put prom together on their own, student input is very important and key to create the perfect night.
“Students are given options of choosing the food, theme and other small, but important factors,” said junior Harley Cameron. “I wanted to help plan prom to make sure my classmates and I had the best prom experience that was enjoyable, pretty and fun.””
The committee has worked tirelessly on planning prom and hope that students enjoy experiencing it as much as they loved planning it. The theme for prom this year is “Once Upon a Time” and the committee looks forward to seeing all of the juniors and seniors there.
“We are very excited to see how it will all come together,” added Nardella. “Prom is being held at Atlanta National Country Club in Milton, and we are looking forward to seeing juniors and seniors there!”
